Welcome to Spring 2023! The Undocumented Community Resource Center (180 Cesar Chavez) is open Monday through Thursday during the hours of 10am-5pm & Fridays 10am-2pm. Come to the center to study, grab snacks, and build community!

MEET WITH A FINANCIAL AID ADVISOR

Do you have questions about Financial Aid? Every Wednesday from 1-4pm, log-in to get in line and speak to a Financial Aid Advisor. Please make sure you select to get into the FASO/Partner Advising Queue. You will then be called via phone once it is your turn to speak to the advisor to get your questions answered.

EMERGENCY GRANTS & USP SCHOLARSHIP

Emergency Grants

USP provides limited funding to students needing general or housing-related financial assistance. The application for Spring 2023 will open on February 22.

USP Scholarship

USP is able to provide a limited amount of scholarships in the amount of $1, 500 to undocumented students who are facing significant financial need (i.e., no work authorization, graduate students, etc). Applicants will be prioritized based on financial need.

MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT

Wellness Groups & Workshops
Join other undocumented students to learn emotional management skills and find support in community. Please reference the event calendar to find out about upcoming workshops.

Let’s Talk is a casual consult with a licensed mental health provider, which can help you explore resources and discuss how counseling might be helpful. Reserve a 25-minute consult slot at this link: https://www.wejoinin.com/USPmentalhealth

UNDOCUMENTED GRADUATE STUDENT RESOURCES

Undocumented students in graduate and professional degree programs have access to Office for Graduate Diversity and the Undocumented Student Program services such as immigration legal support, mental health support, financial support, and a full-time Undocumented Graduate Student Specialist. UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH SUPPORT

The Marco Antonio Firebaugh Scholars program is an undergraduate research program that serves, undocumented, formerly incarcerated, and/or system-impacted undergraduate students.

Firebaugh Scholars receive funding and academic support to design and complete an independent faculty-sponsored research project over the course of one academic year. Scholars also receive support in applying to graduate school and post-baccalaureate opportunities.

Meet with the USP graduate student intern to ask for questions regarding graduate and/or professional school or to go over any graduate school application materials. If you wish to discuss application materials such as resumes, CVs, and or personal statements, please send all materials to miroslava_guzmanp@berkeley.edu.

Miroslava is available by appointment or Wednesdays 11am-1pm at the Undocumented Community Resource Center.
